What Musi stores, and why

What we store

• Your email address, and your name if you give one.
• Your password, only as a one-way hash. Nobody, including us, can read it back.
• The home city you choose, your maximum travel time and how you travel. We never store your exact location.
• The artists you follow and the shows you save or mark.

Why

Only to show you concerts you can actually get to, and artists you might like. That is the service you sign up for, which is also the legal basis for storing it.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no selling or sharing of your data.
• No tracking or analytics.
• No cookies. Your login is kept in your browser's local storage, only so you stay signed in, and it disappears when you log out.

Who else is involved

Musi runs on a server in the Netherlands (TransIP). Concert listings come from Ticketmaster; similar-artist data comes from Last.fm and MusicBrainz. None of them receives any of your personal data. Buying tickets happens on the ticket seller's own site, under their privacy policy.

How long

Until you delete your account. Deleting signs you out everywhere immediately, and everything is permanently removed within 30 days.

Your rights

You can download everything we store about you, or delete your account, at any time on your account page. For anything else, such as a correction or a question, email koenmunk@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
